We were strolling around the lively streets of Bengaluru. They were full of busy crowds and delicious smells. We found a special place hidden in Shivaji Nagar – Santosh Chaat House. It’s located on Infantry Road. This simple food cart has been around since 2004. It serves tasty North Indian snacks that people really love. Two energetic brothers from Rajasthan run Santosh Chaat House. It shows their love and commitment to their work. When we got close to the Santosh Chaat House, we smelled the spices. We also heard happy customers chatting. This showed how much people love coming here.
Our experience at Santosh Chaat House
As we looked at the menu, we got excited seeing lots of different street foods to choose from. There were classics like Masala Puri and irresistible treats like Samosa Chaat. Each dish sounded like it would be bursting with delicious flavors. But the Sev Puri and Dahi Puri caught our eye the most. They tempted us to try something new and delicious.
Sev Puri and Dahi Puri
We decided to start our meal with the famous Sev Puri. We were amazed as we watched the talented chef carefully make each small, perfect piece. It is a crunchy puri topped with diced potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. They are generously covered in tangy tamarind chutney and spicy green chutney. Then, it is finished off with a big handful of crunchy sev. With the first bite, we were hit with a burst of flavors, the mix of textures and tastes making us want to eat more.
Next up in our food adventure was the Dahi Puri, offering a refreshing break from the spicy chaos. The puris look like Sev Puri. Each delicate puri was filled with smooth yogurt, plus the usual potato and chickpea mix. They were topped with aromatic spices and fresh coriander leaves. With every bite, we felt a coolness spreading in our mouths. This was thanks to the creamy yogurt balancing the bold spices.
